Compagnie Jo Bithume

Created in 1982 in Angers, THE COMPANY JO BITHUME is about 60 artists, comedians, musicians, technicians, directors, and admistrative staff... fascinated by comedy, circus, music and journey... all convinced that theater should be popular, close to the public, especially the public who does not enter in theaters.

...PERFORMANCES

The reputation of the company is grounded on his performances in public square created each 4 years.
She is well known for the way she associates comedy and music.
She performs by preference in the street, but she also proposes performances on stage.

She also creates regulary custom-made events for private or public commands with very original artistic proposals "made on measures".

...EVENTS

Artistic, logistic and technical director of Les Accroche-Coeurs festivities since 9 years, the company stages Angers each year with the population, installations and more than 100 performances for about 150.000 persons.

...A NATIONAL CENTER OF STREET ARTS / LA PAPERIE - CHEZ JO BITHUME

Since 2002, the Company welcomes other artists in residence for street and circus creations, offering working areas, accomodations and artistic, technical and administrative accompaniments and production and cash inputs. In 2007, she supports for instance Les Caprices de Divas, Opéra Pagaï, Alice Groupe Artistique, Caracol - Bambuco, Lackaal Duckric and Frichti Concept.

...A CIRCUS SCHOOL

Admitted by the French Federation of Circus School, she assures all the year regular classes for initiation and perfection into the arts of circus for children, teenagers and adults, amateurs and professionals. She proposes also ponctual trainings.
